falling into routine of cozy reads, crisp days, and holiday dreams.

i just realized this post was never published! i wrote it on our way back from a weekend getaway and the signal wasn’t all that great, which is why i’m assuming it didn’t post. it’s from september 19 but i wanted to share it anyway!

summer always feels like a whirlwind, doesn’t it? long days, spontaneous adventures, and plenty of sunshine. but as the warm nights fade, there’s something soothing about settling into the rhythm of fall. i love this time of year—the crisp air, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin-scented everything. it’s also the perfect time to get back into my writing routine and refresh my TBR pile.

the slower pace of autumn invites me to read a little longer with a cup of tea (or two), curl up in a favorite blanket, and dive into all the heartwarming books that have been waiting patiently on my shelf. there’s something magical about fall reading—small-town romances with apple orchards, second-chance love stories against autumn leaves, and characters finding their way under the moonlit skies of a pumpkin patch.

and while fall has only just begun, i can’t help but start dreaming about christmas books! the countdown to festive romances is on, and soon the shelves will be filled with sparkling holiday covers, cozy inn settings, and stories that remind us of the magic of the season.

so here’s to easing into the season with gratitude—for routine, for fall stories, and for the anticipation of holiday books just around the corner. whether you’re writing or reading, may this season inspire you to slow down, find joy in the little things, and maybe, just maybe, fall in love with a few fictional characters along the way. happy fall, and bring on the christmas reads!
